Over 250,000 children develop TB and 100.000 children will continue to die each year from TB.
Rotary International District 3950 in realization of its seriousness has taken the initiative to support the program of the Department of Health. Our club in particular has committed to be the public service arm of the campaign against TB in children and today's activity is one of a series of activities lined up to pay particular attention as a health risk and a preventable disease. And that TB can be cured.
Today, at Roxas plaza circle, the 1st 3k Fun Run Marathon to STOB TB was a very successful and significant event. There were about more or less 250 runners who joined us in the fundrive run for TB campaign. Kids and adult alike had fun comp

Awards for the youngest runner of 7 yo {about three kids} went home with reference hard bound books, the biggest group delegation went home with cash gifts and boxes of reference books, too and the biggest contributor was given gift certificates from Goldilocks.

Donations of water, sandwiches, lugaw, cash prizes, appliances, office supplies, manpower and other donations poured out. Runners donated voluntarily at a minumum of P10.00 to a maximum of P1,000.00 to support our campaign against TB for children.
