f OPERATION TAGHOY EMISSARY TEAM VISIT from Denver, Colorado, USA. They will begin their visit with the following itineraries:
August 29-30 - Dumaguete City
Sept 1 - Bacolod City
Sept 2-4 - Iloilo/Guimaras Island and Pototan, Iloilo
Sept. 4-6 in Roxas City/Olotayan Island
Sept 7-9 - Ormoc, Cebu City
Finally, they will have meetings with Pal Foundation, and our soon to be sister club RC Forbes Park Makati on Sept. 10-12, 2009. The signing of Sisterhood Agreement between RC Forbes and RC Roxas will also be another highlight of the meetings.
Our newly elected member, Rtn. Megs Lunn, Executive Coordinator for Taghoy Philippines will be with them throughout this journey for the Filipino children. Rtn. Megs has been working as volunteer with Uplift Internationale for nearly 5 years now before she eventually became the Executive Coordinator for Taghoy Philippines.
The team will be led by PP Jaime Yrastorza, MD/President, Uplift Internationale, Denver, Colorado {www.upliftinternationale.org} with wife Pat Yrastorza, Dr. Barb Moyer and Rtn. Megs Lunn.
Operation Taghoy is set to have its two weeks medical mission on the last week of January {Roxas City} to the first week of February {Pototan, Iloilo} and 2011 in Dumaguete. RC Roxas is expecting a team of more or less 38/pax international Surgeons, Nurses, Dentists, Speech Therapists and professional/Outreach Volunteers from many states in the US, UK, Hongkong, Canada and the Philippines.
