I am pleased to extend my greetings to the Officers and members of the Rotary Club of Roxas on the occasion of their Charter Presentation.

The Rotary Club has won the respect of peoples everywhere because of the contribution it has made to human progress as a builder of men, a builder of communities and a builder of a better world. In this country, I am happy to say that true to the traditions of the Rotary movement, our own Rotarians have actively promoted the well-being of the nation.

Our nation is now set to launch a new and greater efforts to realize to goal of prosperity that we as a people have long struggled for.  Much is demanded of us in terms of courage,  sacrifice and patience which are necessary stepping stones to the goal we have set out to attain.

In this effort, much is also demanded of our Rotary Club. As respected men in their communities, they can help provide the leadership, both moral and physical, that is essential in any task such as this.  I am sure that they will not shirk as this opportunity to add to the glory of their organization and to the welfare of their country by dedicating their thoughts and actions to the accomplishments of our nation’s ends.

It is my hope that this occasion will provide the officers and members of the Rotary Club of Roxas to forge a united front in the pursuance of their common objectives.

May you have a truly successful celebration.
